Position Overview

The BDC Inside Sales Rep. will perform customer service and corporate level sales support for AFC branches, Area Sales Managers and Marketing. The BDC Inside Sales Rep. must be a self-starter that strives to meet or exceed sales and production goals while supporting AFC’s profitable growth and revenue objectives. Identify sales opportunities to educate and up-sell customers on AFC & KAR Auction Services products and services. Become subject matter expert on all AFC products and services including, a proficiency with the features and functionality of AFCdealer. com, ADESA. com and Salesforce. com. Train and educate dealers on key websites to grow AFC’s portfolio.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives from BDC management. Maintain a good rapport and flow of communication with the BDC department employees.

  • Inbound/Outbound activities such as: up-sell customers, lead qualification, utilization campaigns, and lead management.

  • Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.

  • Monitor individual production and performance metrics to ensure that goals are met.

  • Position requires strong solution selling skills to directly impact the floorplan and revenue goals for AFC.

  • Increase overall amount of vehicles floored with AFC through outbound and inbound calls to prospects and current AFC customers.

  • Enter inbound and outbound sales activities in Salesforce. com.

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding minimum sales requirements as determined by BDC management.

  • Identify sales and up-sell opportunities and offer AFC/KAR solutions to prospects and AFC customers.

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of and comply with AFC’s company policies and procedures.

  • Report customer, industry or market trends to BDC management.

  • Work in a team environment developing innovative solutions that drive growth with integrity, improved effectiveness, and integration throughout the organization.

  • Process all online applications and direct to the appropriate branch/site locations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. College degree a plus.

  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of Inside Sales and/or Customer Service.

  • Automotive related industry experience a plus but not required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, CRM PowerPoint and Word, as well as the ability to use the Internet for research purposes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required.

  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-up abilities are required.

  • The ability to work in a very fast paced and challenging work environment is essential.

  • Telephone, computer, standard office equipment.

Environmental Requirements

  • Position requires walking, sitting, standing and speaking on the phone for extended periods.

  • Position involves occasional training and reporting at multiple locations.

  • Daily review and preparation of automated or manual reports using pen/pencil, calculator, or keyboard is required.
